Recruitment Process

Recruitment Process

Upon receiving your job application form, if you meet our requirements, you will be invited to an interview. We try to arrange interviews within 2 weeks from receiving your application form. During the Interview, we will explain Willow Adult Care’s core values, code of conduct and what the job role entails. You will also have an opportunity to ask any questions you might have about the position you applied for.

We shortlist from application forms. Therefore, please ensure you complete all details required on the application form. This is designed to support our safer recruitment procedure, which we take very seriously to ensure our clients are safeguarded.

If you are successful during the Interview, we will carry out background checks, including Disclosure Barring Checks (DBS), references and right to work in the UK. This may take up to 2 weeks or slightly more depending on how quickly we receive the DBS and references back.

Once Willow Adult Care has received confirmation of no criminal records, we will then arrange for you to do all the mandatory training required. The training will need to be repeated periodically as required by the organisation.

Willow Adult Care supports personal and professional development of staff. We will therefore aim to provide you access to training which supports your personal development which may include taking diploma courses.

In addition to informal supervision which happens as a matter to course as part of the day to day operations, we have formal monthly supervision and yearly appraisals, at which you get an opportunity to speak to your manager. You will have the opportunity to express your concerns and discuss your performance and career aspirations. Your manager is trained to help you find ways to improve and progress within the organisation and healthcare sector in general.
